Bet. I think AQ reraises you on the flop and AA, KK, QQ show strength before this. KQ and AJ might play this way preflop and on the flop. I would rather take this down now than give a free play for him to draw out on my by hitting a non flush card that makes his str8 or trips here. If he comes back over the top you make an odds decision based on his play and pot odds.

Note: I think I am ahead on turn more often than not, no doubt about it.

I agree. This is why I want to bet here.

[ QUOTE ]
Question is if he'll call a turn AND river bet with a holding I beat.

[/ QUOTE ]

Only one way to find out...

[ QUOTE ]
Also, if I am behind I am drawing much more live than he is if I am ahead.

[/ QUOTE ]

Clearly.

People occasionally berate me at the table for taking too long and thinking about my decisions.

They tend to shut up when I take their money =)

Bet. He's loose and could be calling with a variety of hands on the flop. I wouldn't worry about getting checkraised here, in fact I wouldn't mind getting checkraised here, since he may very well do it with a hand such as QT.

Thanks for all replies.

I bet $10 (still uncertain it is correct), he check-min.raised, I called. River was another T, he bet 3/4, I folded.

This, of course, is clearly the only correct way to play the hand.

In all seriousness though Kongo, you do make a good case for checking. I would bet here, primarily because I have a ton of equity, a strong redraw in the unlikely event that I'm behind, and I am facing a fairly loose opponent, which leads me to value bet. I think a check certainly has its merits against the right type of opponent, but my default play is to bet here.

Looks good. A turn check/raise isn't so bad, since you'll almost always have odds to call, and can stack him on the river when the flush comes.
