Re: Very awkward TPTK-hand.
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] the more I think about it the more I like pushing instead of raise to 45 as AQ is not calling the raise to 45 anyways so you might as well get maximum fold equity against AK/AJ. [/ QUOTE ] AJ folds here about never [/ QUOTE ] yeah you are probably right but guy is 23/7. I don't know... this is a very weird hand. I might just fold the flop and remember to reraise preflop next time. |

Re: Very awkward TPTK-hand.
actually what about call, all in on a non club non Q turn?
this way if anybody raises behind you on the flop, you can fold safely. |

Re: Very awkward TPTK-hand.
I thought about this.
I guess I just hate going to the turn with atleast 3 and possibly 4 players on a draw heavy board with TPTK. I think he needs to take control of the betting as he did, because after all he does have a pretty big (yet vulnerable) hand. Maybe calling is an OK idea HU-2,3 handed, but IMO he's got to raise AK in this situation. |

Re: Very awkward TPTK-hand.
I like reraising that preflop.
You described the flop perfectly as awkward. This is why I like the reraise pf. I don't see how MP reopens the open action when he raises 15 on top of your 45 raise. But the flop is where you are committing your chips. Pot comes to you at 45, and you've got 94. A push is an option, but not a very good one, unless you read these guys as very bad. If you're gonna raise 45, it's to find out if your hand is second best and you can get away from it. FWIW, any reasonable flush draw is ahead of you because of the extra four gutshot outs. It looks like UTG has a set or AJ. |
