Online, unless it's a particularly fishy table, I'll play 3 rounds and if I haven't had anything to play or what I've had to play hasn't come close to hitting the flop I'll leave.
Live I'll usually play 2 hours or so with the same criteria. |

I play as long as I want to. It doesn't matter if you are catching cards or not, leaving isn't going to make a difference. If you get so bored after playing three rounds of poker that you have to leave, then maybe poker isn't your game.
This is a pretty dumb question. |

If I am catching cards, I play 800 hands. Otherwise, I stop after 800 hands.

Try swinging a dead cat over your head 13 times while sitting out. No more... no less. 13 is the number and the number shall be 13.

When I sit down to play it's for a specified amount of time.
As long as the table I am sitting at is a good table, I'll stay there as long as I'm playing. Now if the context of the table changes such that my expected win rate declines I will certainly leave that table, good cards or bad. But the cards I receive has absolutely nothing with whether or not I hang out at a table for any specified amount of time. |

You're all ignoring the fact that he might loosen up preflop when he hasn't had good cards for a specified amount of time. If he leaves because that is a danger, more power to him.

I prefer sacrificing a live snake over my keyboard.
Anyone want to buy a (slightly) used keyboard? |
