I agree, this is an under appreciated sport and thread. As a lover of boxing, I will begin to post comments on a regular basis, which I hope adds either insight(or if I'm wrong-amusement)to the forum. Hopefully we can keep this somehwta active and relevent.

Thanks again,

MJC

I feel very strongly about the Corrales/Castillo over becase the last fight went 10 rounds and Corrales fought the worst style of fight that he could have against the slugger Castillo. There was way to much banging in the last fight and Corrales may have won, but he took a beating along the way. Goosen, his trainer, is not gonna let him come out as a brawler this time which will prolong the fight. Either way, even if he did come out with that slugging style he's still likely to make it 10 rounds because we know that he already has and....Well as we saw in the Casamayor saga, Corrales really gets up for a rematch after a questionable first fight.

I have laid big $ on this over.

[ QUOTE ]
Lots of fights coming up here at the end of the year so I thought I would start a thread. As you know, Tuds and I go back and forth analyzing these fights and I must say that there has been large rewards from our recent bets. Either way, we both agree on the over for Tony if the price is good and the over for Castillo/Corrales. There is still ongoing discussion about the B-Hop/Taylor and Peter/Wlad fights. I like the $ on Peter str8 up to beat Wlad and the over for B-Hop/Taylor. I also think that betting str8 up on Taylor is a very smart move.

Thoughts?

I like the Executioner over Taylor, he got robbed in that last round [only woulda made it a draw, I know] and will be super-motivated for this fight and won't start off that slow again.

over sounds good to me as well.

Any feeling regarding Wlad's stamina? If he's coming in without having improved this i see the following equation=

Big Nigerian + Ukranian Glass Chin + 2 Heavy Punchers Who Don't Dance = Under 7.5 for sure

Default Please God, Jevohah, Allah, or Buddha..Don\'t let this happen!

September 12, 2005 - Last week undefeated heavyweight Joe Mesi showed serious interest in fighting Evander Holyfield, possibly in Italy, should his battle in the Nevada courts not work out for him. Although the former four time heavyweight champion still doesn't know when his next fight will take place, he too showed interest a potentital fight with Mesi. "Well, that sounds good to me. It's like he said, we're both trying to prove something and if we can this a big event and a big fight, shoo, why not?," rhetotically asked Holyfield, who also stated that he's been keeping himself in great shape while details for his next fight are being ironed out."

IF, IF, IF the Mesi/Holyfield fights happens. That will harm the sport of boxing, but probably not as much as either fighter might be harmed after the fight.

Wlad's glass chin is due to his poor conditioning. If he is conditioned properly (hopefully he is) and focused on the fight(he is), he is a different fighter from the one we say in his last few bouts. I hope Peter will win, but I am having serious doubts about the UNDER. As of right now, I like the over 6.5 at pinnacle, but don't like the over of 7.5 at Sportsbook. More as the fight nears.

B-Hop cannot produce the punch output to beat Taylor. Period. Its a lock.

I will not bet the over/under for this fight but I'd lean to the under. Wlad is a chump with no heart. He was knocked out in 1 round by fat ass Cori Sanders for gods sake. After that he was laid down by a flabby and outta shape Lamon Brewster. I've been to the gym and watched Brewster (he trains in Indy) and he's no great fighter. Bottom line is that Wlad is going to lose so betting str8 up on Peter is the best bet.

Fair enough. The best line I can find right now is -136 at Pinnacle. Do you expect this line to improve before the fight or is this the best were gonna get?

Just want to chime in as another person who says, please keep posting this stuff. I love boxing and it's the sport I've bet on the longest, but I don't have enough knoledge to make good bets often.

I like almost any bet agaisnt Wlad. He's one of those guys who keeps the public hoping that he'll finally put all of his talent together (especially with his bro as a model), when he's shown no indication that he will ever do so. Sort of Lawrence Phillips minus the felonies.
