bad like good
100NL 6max
five handed and i just sat down a little bit ago Hero $98 Villain $113 Hero is BB with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG limps, Villian raises to $4 utg+1, folds to me and i call and limper calls Flop $12.50 3 way J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Me and limper check, villian bets $10 we both call. Turn $42.50 Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero bets $20, other guy folds, Villian raises to $80 This is basically the rest of heros money (leaves 3 dollars) I don't really have any thoughts in particular but i think it is a cool line. |

Re: bad like good
this is a valid line in some situations, i don't think this is one of them though. first u r taking this flop OOP multi-way. second your stop and go leaves u with no information. if u r going to play this hand passively why not check/call the turn, block or check/call the river?

if by cool, you mean hating money. yes, this is a cool line. [/ QUOTE ] Does this really help the situation? Please try to add something of value; we are all human and make mistakes. Rather than put others down to make ourselves feel better I think we should criticize constructively and encourage intelligent discussion. I am gonna play this hand aggro because i am OOP and there is a flush draw on the flop. Im sure you know this but you should be potting the flop and possibly 1/2 -3/4 potting the turn depending on the turn. As for your line, I must say I do not like it. Too much can go wrong with it. THe previous poster listed a passive line that he thinks is better, but I really just think this is a bad spot to be tricky with your AA. Just keep firing with the bullets, and in the long run you will drag the $$$. |

Re: bad like good
My thinking is to fold them the oddball showed aggression, i felt that my chances were good going against the PFR. Most times if they raise too much preflop and then hit their TPTK hand they are forced to play for their stack. I knew he probably didn't have the other two aces, so other than a set i'm almost certainly ahead (QJ?). You can't play aces and be concerned of a set everytime so you might as well get all in when your opponent has the best chance of going in with the worst hand.

Re: bad like good
I think u have to protect the equity u have with the aces early on by raising and hopefully pushing especialy versus LAGs since they tend to suck out with shity hands.
