Default \"I don\'t understand the BCS!\"

Is anyone else sick of this? I keep hearing announcers and analysts talking about how they and others just can't understand that wacky BCS formula!

The BCS is not that complicated, and besides that, it is part of your job as an analyst to understand it.

When I hear someone bragging about how they just can't figure it out, I don't think that the person is jovial and down-to-earth. I think they're an idiotic jackass.

The point of an algorithm like that is BECAUSE people can't figure out and weigh all the factors correctly in their heads. So really, you would EXPECT your typical dumb analyst to not get it.

See, the thing is, I think they're willfully ignorant. This isn't like the passer efficiency formula, which is nonintuitive and complex. Not knowing how the BCS works is inexcusable.

Then in the next breath they blast it for getting things "wrong."
