Re: this okay?
[ QUOTE ]
This is all I'm saying... Lets turn it around...Let's say I limped in with Ax's and flopped a flush... I would 3 bet.. You would cap, I would snicker.. Turn..you bet into me...I raise, then snicker... River...your hand doesn't improve..I made a lot more money off of you.. My point is...I make a lot of money from people who play like this. [/ QUOTE ] I look around and see all of the other players that are calling on the flop, calculate my equity and cap the flop gladly. Playing +EV poker doesn't mean the money always comes your way. |

Re: this okay?
Well played. I probably would have played it the same way.

Re: this okay?
I have read many of your posts, and I know you are more savy about equity and value betting than I am. I am going to take your point into consideration as I'm currently working through SSHE.

Re: this okay?
nh.
Flop cap is great for value (someone could easily have hit 2 pair, have the K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and pumping their flush draw for value etc) Turn bet is nice not giving a free card, but I certainly hate getting raised. Check/Call on the river is goot. |

Re: this okay?
I would have believed him on the 3-bet flop, but my agg's been low lately so I don't blame you for asking one more time. And unlucky poker that you had to call down but that pot is way too big to let go of with a set.
Besides, it could be that he believes his A6 is best. Edit: for basic freakin' English.grrr |

Re: this okay?
All you guys who don't want to cap this flop must flop flushes a whole lot more often than I do.
The CO will have a lot of hands based on his flop action, ranging from, but not exclusive to: the flopped nuts, Ax, K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], a random two-pair, etc. I wouldn't start to worry about the flush until he raises the turn, and even then I wouldn't be too surprised to see him without it. |

Re: this okay?
Welcome to the boards, Andrew.
I think that the CO could have several hands other than flushes here (such as AxK [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], or even any Ace), so I think I'd definitely lead out on the turn. I'd hate it if it got checked through and a heart fell on the river. |
