Default Stars 5-10 NL Turn Decision

The table is short, with only 6 people to start the hand.

Players in the hand are UTG (29 VPIP / 9 PFR / 285 hands) and SB (58 / 0 / 24). For some reason, UTG posted instead of waiting for BB.

Preflop: UTG (1000) checks, folds around to SB (447) who calls, I (1240) check with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Flop ($30): A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

SB bets $10, I raise to $50, UTG calls, SB folds.

Turn ($140): 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]

I bet $100, UTG raises to $400. He has $540 left.

My play?

Most importantly, what range of hands do you put UTG on? Why? Remember, he posted UTG.

Comments on all streets appreciated.

His got a smaller 2 pair. You didnt say how much you sat with and how much he has...hard to get away from that hand...what would he call a 40 buck raise with on flop?

He had 1000 at the beginning of the hand, as he just sat down. I have him covered.

I immediately think "double gutter got there" but who knows.

I *really* don't like that he gave a "free card" on flop.

Read-dependent, but I probably fold.

Here alot of hands beat you. I think a set is unlikely given the flop action. Note he can have ATC preflop. He could have 89D, KQD, JxD, 7xD all of which you beat and might make that turn move.

Hands which beat you now are 76d, j7d, QJ (any), slow played set (highly unlikely).

Given the heavy draw nature of the board I might call... but I epect QJ here.

Would you have played it any differently on the turn if u flopped a set...what would percentage be to win if your up against the dreaded QJ straight? You lay down all hands here with his reraise is basically what I'm saying?

No one has really commented on this, but did you think about a PF raise? UTG posted, so he hasa random hand, and SB completed... I'm thinking ATs is best here, and you may as well take it down now.

If UTG limped as opposed to posting I wouldn't make this play, but I think it's best in this situation.
