Default Screw John Juana!

I saw he was playing a 3/6 table on full tilt. I only had 47 in my account and you need 60 to sit at the table. So I figure I'll play 2/4 real fast until I have 60. There is just 5 other people at the table and in 2 rounds of blinds I've lost the 47. I will spare you the horror stories of what went on in those 10 hands.

Damn you John Juanda! Son of a bitch cost me 47 dollars. If he wasn't playing the 3/6, then I wouldn't have sat at that table and become the poker god's whipping boy for 10 hands. Screw John Juanda!

He already left the 3/6 too. So even if I won enough, he'd already be gone. Hate John Juanda!

On another note, does everyone suck hard at full tilt? Or was this an isolated incident. It was deffinately party poker level play I was experiencing in those 10 hands.

players are pretty bad, but somewhat tight. Full Tilt's only current downside is lack of playerbase. their software is great IMO, and they have some cool stuff coming. I asked tech support about hand histories, and they said that the following stuff is incoming:

Hand Histories, and when implemented we will be able to pull all from the start of the site.
Tournament Histories, same as above
Mini Table View
More regular tournaments as more players arrive. atm they have about 1 NL MTT every 6 hours i think.
more games to be added, possibly Razz.

So far I have tried most main sites software except party, and compared to what i have seen, here's my pros and cons of FTP:

Pros:
When animation is off, the software is quite fast. I was dissappointed in the speed until I turned it off. Animation is basically showing hte cards slide to you, instead of just popping up, etc.

Easily recognizable who is int he hand. most sites seem to use 2 small cards on the table that are at an angle but still on the table after being folded. at times, this makes it hard to tell who checked and who folded if you are watching more than 1. FTP has 2 huge cards at each seat, and when they are folded they dissappear.

bet/pot size etc. On UB, the only way I have found to tell what a bet is in regular table view is to mouseover it, and they use like 18 chips to designate bets that could be represented in 2-3 denominations. FTP has the options to have all bet and pot sizes turned on so you always see the value, similar to how UB looks in their mini table view.

Avatars. They draw in easygoing players, and are entertaining. There is also the ability to turn them completely off, so its the best of both worlds. the art is done very well.

the pros. these guys get bombarded with hundreds of questions and tons of rude comments from the rail anytime they join a table, but are still always really nice and quite funny. yes, its their job while on the site to do this, but they do their job much better than the pros i have seen that represent UB. These guys will also join pretty much any game you want to play to help you fill up a table or tourney. Ive seena ndy bloch join a .50 omaha game just to help a couple folks fill a table, and perry will join any tourney he can if you ask, along with several others.

intuitive interface. overall, i think i like the ftp interface better than ub stars and paradise, but all are a bit lacking. i will list this in cons.

Tournaments. best blind structure IMO. blinds start at 15/30 and go up by 5 every 10 mins, 1500 starting chips.

Cons:

not many players

no hand or tourney histories yet

sorting on the interface doesnt work like it does in windows for example, but this is a prob on all sites i have seen. when you sort by limit, then by game type, imo it should split your game types up by limit, but instead it forgets your previous sort and just goes by game type.

no mini table view yet.

anyway, thats just my 2 cents, not intending to be a shill. I plan on downloading party's software to check it out soon as well, but so far, after seeing stars, ub, ftp, and paradise, FTP has the better interface and front end IMO. a bit cartoony, but having the option to turn all of that off is great, though I think it adds to the game and entices less serious players to join. some of the facial expressions on the regular avatars, as well as the pros are priceless. ask ivey to look happy, its crazy.

Which sites? I play PokerStars, Paradise, and Gaming Club, and they all have cards that disappear on fold. GC even changes the color of the folded players' name plates.

ultimate bet. your cards get like "pushed to the center" of the table, could get confusing after a while of multitabling.

I'm suprised John Juana is playing 3/6. Even I don't go that low anymore. Well, atleast not at a casino.

they just play there to get people to come to tables. the pros have sat at 1-2 .5-1 and all sorts of games and low buyin tournaments.

It's a play where John sits down at a 3/6 table for 5 minutes to get you to play 2/4 to try to get 60 in your account and then the bots take it all. An evil trick. Screw John Juanda!
