Default ($22) Bad play, or not?

After he checks the flop i figured the pot is big enough to take some risks over it, If he has a nine, or a slowplayed jack so be it. When he calls me the turn isn't really much of a decision. I don't think there is any real difference between pot-betting and pushing the flop.

He's definitely calling and he definitely has you beat.

Im looking for comments on the flop bet. Thought that was clear.Am i right in thinking that i may as well push my last 200 in on the turn? Even if im behind a jack, my ten high flush outs might be good and my ace might also be.

I would just push this flop when he checks to you. When he calls the flop bet and checks the turn to you, take the card and hope for a free showdown, but call a river push.

IMO, from best to worst:

1. Check/Fold flop
2. All-in on flop
3. Pot-sized bet on flop

I think that the real problem on this hand started PF.

The raise to 125 is bad, IMO. Either put in a real raise or fold PF. ATo is not strong enough to play halfway like this, especially with your stack. I know that doesn't address your question, but your weak raise is begging for a call, now you're stuck playing a so-so hand post flop with a stack that affords you no wiggle room.

Actually, because of this, this is one of those spots where I chuck the 10 BB rule thing and either push / fold PF. The chips you piss away 'playing poker' here are too valuable and it would be better to just push / fold PF, from my experience anyway. The reason being, as soon as you C-bet any flop, you've essentially put your entire tournament at stake anyway.

Yup, simply pushing this hand is +Ev despite villains calling ranges according to SNGPT. Ill do that next time.

Turned out villain had J9 and surprisingly called my turn bet and busted my ass.

Yeah i would def check/fold this this flop, as you could easily be drawing virtually dead. If you are that desperate for chips you have to go all in, as it is less likely he will call with a draw if you go all in rather than just a pot size bet.
