Default dummy question what is MGR

been reading here for a few weeks, thought i would have had enough hints to figure it out by now. still haven't. please clue me in.

Monthly Gross Rake. Total rake paid at all your tables divided by the average number of players.

I think it's Monthly Gross Revenue, ie what they make on you. It's rake paid minus bonus given.

it's "Revenue" instead of just rake, because many sites also include tourney fees in their totals.

it's also taken from the same term for the casino affiliate industry (aka gross win), which presumably came first before online poker.
