Lazy, ignorant people sit on their asses and play cards, taking money from others who work hard to earn it.

[/ QUOTE ]

In my experience, longterm good winning players are anything but lazy and ignorant.

Yep, that's why I love it. Because the very people who piss me off in every day life with their attitude of entitlement are usually the ones who are paying me off. What a great stress buster!

Bullcrap. Nobody with these issues is relieving stress in a poker game. Postal worker, maybe. Gun owner, probably.

My psychologist says that he thinks Myers-Briggs is useful. On the other hand, it is widely used and therefore sometimes misused as well.

Sometimes people who take the test twice in a week come up differently each time, so clearly there is an element of error resulting from the subject's current mood and specific interpretation of the questions being asked.

The Myers-Briggs is a bogus test without validity or reliability. It also is not normed. Like astrology, some of the conclusions may happen to correspond with your life though.

Myers-Briggs isn't perfect, but nothing is as bogus as astrology.

I was thinking today about the intense satisfaction I get from punishing fools at the poker table for their impatience/ignorance/stupidity/lack of emotional control.

Poker is such a joy to play. In real life, lazy ignorant people get paid to sit on their asses while others do their work for them. In today's America, the whiners, complainers and professional victims are coddled. In poker, there is no boss to report to, no office politics, no nepotism, no affirmative action.

Each person at the table is rewarded (in the long term) for his/her skill and knowledge. It's the purest form of capitalism I can think of. You live or die on your own merits and your bankroll doesn't much give a damn about your excuses.

Yep, that's why I love it. Because the very people who piss me off in every day life with their attitude of entitlement are usually the ones who are paying me off. What a great stress buster!

ahh yes.. those spoiled brats with a sense of entitlement and no self responsibility. it wasnt my fault i'm fat.. it was McDonalds!

and if they hit a bad beat, they can yell, scream, whine and threaten with a lawsuit all they want, but they are NOT going to get their way.

thx.. you've given me another reason why poker is the perfect job

Guns are for self defense only. For joy killing, I prefer a straight razor. Nothing brings a smile to my face like the look of terror those drunken, homeless bums get just before I slash their throats. I'm quite positive that they all receive one final moment of sober clarity just before weezing their dying breathe. For this, they surely must be grateful for my wisdom in delivering them from their sin.

Please don't think less of me. After I'm finished anally raping their lifeless, yet still deliciously warm bodies, I'm always courteous enough to clean up any "overspill".
