Default HU NL: Continuation Bet Scenario

Making stabs at small pots is obviously a big part of HU NL SNG's, especially at the lower levels. I just want to see how aggressively 2+2'ers play in these very routine spots.

Heads-up NL SNG. You have t1750 opponent has t1250 in chips. blinds are 15-30. You have K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the SB, and raise to 90. He calls.

Flop(180): J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

He checks. What percentage of the time and how much do you bet against the following opponents?

1. He's loose/passive. He limps his SB too much, calls your pf raises too much, and folds on the flop too much. You have taken away 250 of his chips early on without showing down a hand. The one time he raised your lead, you folded quickly.

2. No real read at all. This is the second hand of the SNG, you won the first one with an aggressively played flopped straight, which he called down with TPTK.

3. He's tricky and aggressive, and is one of the 3 best players you've encountered at this limit. You've played against him before, and were probably getting slightly out-played last time you played. If you check behind, you can be %90 sure he'll lead the turn with any two, because he knows you bet a high percentage of the flops when checked to. A few hands ago he check/called the flop then check/raised a turn flush card and folded to your push. Up until that point stacks had been very even, and there has yet to be a showdown.

Default Re: HU NL: Continuation Bet Scenario

I'm betting half the pot most of the time. If he called you down last hand and got owned, chances are he won't take the same line unless he has a real hand. Expect to take this down with a bet pretty often; if you're called, then turn a K or don't put any more into the pot.

Blinds are still small, no reason to get too fancy.
