Re: Aces help
I'd probably like to C/R allin on the flop (it will be an overbet -- I think that's ok). If it checks through, and the turn comes a heart, than at least you can get away from the hand cheaply. If not, you can lead out on the turn with a strong bet.
Flops like this when I have a big PP make me sad =/ |

Re: Aces help
Which is why you raise more preflop. 100 doesn't do a damn thing here.

Re: Aces help
yeah i might make it like 150 preflop. i don't know though. i don't mind seeing a flop with a couple other people with aces.

Re: Aces help
I tend to use this general formula when raising preflop with hands like this. If your typical Preflop raise in 3xBB when opening the betting, add a BB for each call in front of you.
So in this case 3xBB = T90, so with two caller infront of you raise 5xBB = T150. |

Re: Aces help
Yeah, me too, sometimes 2BB for each limper.

Re: Aces help
This sounds more like just a bad beat, were do you think you need help on in this hand? At any point do you think you misplayed this? |

If a hand wins 80% of the time, that means it loses 20% of the times. Its your sole responsibility to minimise the losses when it does lose. However if you plan to play big pots everytime, then just accept that it will happen every once in a while and move on. |

I raise up Aces preflop and see an all hearts board, also with a possible straight draw. What do you think about the betting on each street? After he cold calls the flop and the turn was pushing on the river foolish? After he cold calls the flop bet should I push when the turn is harmless? I posted the hand because I was having a hard time deciding how to play the hand at the time, and looking back on it I felt like I could have made better decisions. J |

Re: Aces help
Maybe I'm weak tight, but I give up after the turn bet and check the river. I think the only hand that calls you on the end that you are ahead of is K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Kx
