One of those horrible nights..
Getting cold decked at my B&M, making 2nd best hands with your decent cards, having draws not hit, getting 5-outed by this guy who thinks he's good because he's been rivering unbelievable runner runner hands.
I just dropped $100 playing $2/$4 for 10ish hours; the whole concept of this is depressing. Not because I lost $100, but going broke playing $2/$4, ugh. What is there to fall back on after this is said and done tonight? Anyone? - a tired and irritated yellowjack |

Just a swing ... you want tom coplain when you lose 50 BB's! More so at 10/20!
Don't beat yourself up. We have to learn to take these swings. Glad you got to vent. |

[/ QUOTE ] Read up on variance, reload your roll, tighten up. It's a game and it's supposed to be fun. If you're not having fun, try porn. |

Re: One of those horrible nights..
My first night in Vegas I lost $100 playing 2/4.
The next night I was up $200. The next day, up another $100. Really, it's just a swing. -d |

I've busted at 2-4 before; it's totally humiliating, and I feel your pain. My poker career recovered, though, and so can yours.
Does anyone else find $2 chips unusably distasteful after having spent considerable time playing 2-4? --Nate |

Re: One of those horrible nights..
The second time I ever played at a table game was a 2/4 at the Rio. That morning - my first ever table game, 3/6 at Harrah's - I had made over 300 in a little less than four hours. Man, I was on cloud nine. Anyway, back to the 2/4 table that night... Bought in for 150, was busted out in less than an hour, totally humiliating. I heard the guy next to me whisper: "If I couldn't beat a 2/4, I'd kill myself."
Just gotta let roll off. Take a few days off. Read some books. I promise you, the itch to play again will come back in less than 48 hours. |
