Default C\'mon!

I spend a lot of time in my hotel casino's (Curcaco) Hold 'Em table and I get stuck playing with the locals. Now 90% of these locals can't play the game. Most, if not all, will play about 95% of all the cards given to them and will raise hands like K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. But hey, this can be a good thing to. Anyway, just recently I got beat by a local with such a poor hand I could cry. Now the actual suits may not be exact but work with me. I'm new.

Curcaco Hold 'Em 2/4 table (live)

Hero is the small blind with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG bets, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB raises, BB 3-bets, MP2 caps, everyone calls.

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
SB (hero) bets, BB raises, UTG folds, MP1 3-bets, MP2 caps, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button calls, everyone calls.

What a glorious flop! I'm thinking I got this in the bag. The BB is as happy as I am. I figure him for A J as well or A Q, A K. I was wondering what everyone else was holding. Maybe looking for a straight draw? We'll see.

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB (hero) bets, BB raises, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Button calls.

Two 3s. Just great...

River: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
SB (hero) bets, BB raises, Button 3-bets, SB(hero) calls, BB calls.

I know I am beat by a 3. SoB! As I'm thinking this the Button shows his cards to me, 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], with a smirk as if he were the God of Hold 'Em. I hate him.

Heres the results.

SB (hero) : A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
BB: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Button: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I just couldn't believe that someone was willing to pay the cap on the (pre-flop) flop with a pair of 3s when an Ace and a Jack are present! Talk about luck on the turn!

We've all had bad beats. Be glad you're playing with this guy; in the long run you'll take his shirt. Don't sweat it.

That's the funny part. I don't think these guys have any idea how BAD they really are. I had a guy playing 27s hit a runner-runner flush to beat my flopped straight in a kill pot. The guy thought poker was 99% luck.

Reminds me of the hand on the cover of HEPFAP. Sorry about the bad beat. Keep playing him, go find him, invite him out to play with you...
