I've seen you, Bremen24601 here, although I've moved up to 10/20 for the most part. You'll see me at lower limits though as well (assuming I don't skip to another game again)

Re: Does anyone else play 2/4 hi/low at party poker?
How is the 10/20, that's too rich for me.
Though, some of the calling stations at the 2/4 can get quite annoying. You'll get guys that will reraise you on (35)8, then they'll call you down after they hit a brick and you hit your 4th. Sounds profitable, yes, but I've taken some swings because of stupid plays like that. Countless times I'll complete with split aces, they'll call, they'll hit 2 bricks, call the whole way, and pull out 2 pair. Do these populate the 10/20 too? I sat at 3/6 for like 20 min, I went up $4.00 and left. It's intimidating seeing raises for 12 and 18 when you're not used to them. |

Re: Does anyone else play 2/4 hi/low at party poker?
I watch my table selection as much as I can. There are quite a few regular players who are not half bad. Some are prone to questionable moves however. The other day gigabet actually dropped a buyin at one of my tables. Hopefully he dosn't take up stud/8 too seriously (doubtful since the highest limit is 10/20).

Re: Does anyone else play 2/4 hi/low at party poker?
I play the 2/4, 3/6 or 5/10 stud8 games at Party, but only when they are good (TobaJoe or JoeyNorth). I find stud8 to be fun and easy when the games are good, but too challenging to multitable when opponents play more sensibly.

Re: Does anyone else play 2/4 hi/low at party poker?
I started with 3/6, play 5/10 when it runs, and last night took my first stab at 10/20. I've found find the the stud8 tables to be remarkably soft relative to, say, holdem at the same limits.
If you're willing to single-table, understand starting hand selection and when to jam, these games are extremely profitable. |

Lately, i've found that my hourly for four tables of stud is only slightly better than my rate for two. in terms of BB/100, i am far higher at only one or two tables, but i chase bonuses like a madman, so i usually play four. i play hi and hi-lo at the same time (hi-lo always on the left of the screen- this seems to eliminate most stupid mistakes) and it doesn't really bug me. I play from 2/4 to 5/10, at 2/4 i always try to play four tables, only one at a time at 5/10. SN bholdr- but you knew that. |

I am surprised at the difference in play from $1-$2. I was actually able to use some deception and steal a few hands here and there. There are still plenty of wild players though.
