I don't live in SoCal, but I'm pretty sure the logical follow-up is, What time do you plan on making that drive?

The Santa Anna Freeway (Interstate 5) near Santa Fe Springs (northwest of Buena Park on the way to Commerce) has to be the worse "freeway" in Southern California. Usually the first freeway area to slow to a crawl on the Sigalert web site.

Assuming you get on the I-5 at Beach Blvd. expect to take about 30 minutes except well after rush hour, then it can take as little as 15 minutes (from the freeway ramp).

15 minutes to an hour on I-5. Hawaiian Gardens casino is about 10 to 20 minutes from where you live if you don't feel like making the trek to Commerce...

Play at the big tent (Hawaiian Gardens)! It's not as bad as it seems.

I don't live in So. Cal. Going out there in Dec. for a wedding and wanted to visit the Commerce or maybe several card rooms; depending on how long we can actually stay out there.

Thanks for the tips so far. Sounds like Commerce isn't too tough to scope out from Buena Park.

Any other reviews of Hawaiin Gardens? What do they spread and how is game selection?
