JJ - horrible flop
Bayou Poker 1/2, 5max
just sat down, no reads hero is UTG with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I raise, everyone folds to BB who 3bets, I call I don't cap here for a couple of reasons. (1) I don't have any reason to believe that BB is 3betting light and thus that my equity edge is big. (2) I think I can make up for it postflop by (a) disguising my hand (b) not being tied to a larger pot flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB bets, hero ? |

Re: JJ - horrible flop
I cap because it will make him c/f a lot of hands, plus I think you have equity. Plus position.
I fold that flop though. |

[ QUOTE ] I cap so I know how to play from here. [/ QUOTE ] suppose I cap and he donks the flop. how do you play it? [/ QUOTE ] I don't think that changes anything. If I three bet and it is capped after me I auto-donk the flop. It really isn't a true donk bet anyway. Theoretically you could be itching to raise again and were prevented, so a cap puts you on equal ground. All that being said this is an awful flop for you. TT with no spades and maybe KQs in the wrong suit are the only hands I can imagine him three betting with that you might be beating or get to fold. I would call the flop and think about folding on the turn. |

Re: JJ - horrible flop
without reads i probably fold the flop. sometimes, i either raise here or raise the turn. this lead sometimes screams move me off of my hand and I oblige.
