Default HELP, I only cap AA And KK, which hands do you cap preflop?

You raise from early or middle position (not a stealraise), someone 3bet. Which hands do you cap with?

I just realised that I normally only cap AA and KK and that must be wrong, because I 3bet with AJ and 99. I think it is pretty standard to 3bet with theses hands (5/10, 6handed) so I should 4bet with more hands.

Is position important when you are thinking about 4betting?

Is this a good standard?

AA
KK
QQ
AKs
AKo

I'd usually cap with all of those. How many other hands I raise with depends on what sort of 3-betting standards the 3-bettor has.

we're talking shorthanded here right?

i mean, i'll cap in a heartbeat with QQ, and maybe JJ in some circumstances. like you said, you have people out there 3 betting with AJ, AQ, etc. there's even the bigger retards i have seen that cap with hands like A8s

I need to work on this also, I think I'll start capping with queens and AKo/s.
I recently played in a game where a guy capped preflop with A4o, and I gave the guy way too much action when he flopped a straight against my pocket aces.
