When you open you should be opening for 90 not 60.
Other than that, it looks like he is a retard. He was chasing 8 outs. Be happy you took his money.

The river bet was either a missed draw bluff or a made hand trying to look like a bluff. I probably would've been pushed off this hand myself in a bigger buy-in tournament where I suspected my opponents for intelligence.

TPTK is not the hand for me to go broke with on the river unless you have a read on the opponent or the pot is already too significant for you to drop. If the opponent would have bet 500, would you have called? Did you call just because he overbet the pot?

This early in a low buy-in event, I think your call is the right move for a check/call/check/call/overbet.

I raise more preflop, to what your standard raise at this blind level is. For me that’s probably 100. Minraising to 60 just encourages callers, gives them better odds, and makes it harder to define their hands.

On flop you bet 120 at 200 pot. That’s too little. You should bet whatever your standard “I like this flop” bet is. That needs to be pot size or slightly less at this blind level. I bet around 175 at this pot, mainly because I’ll be betting just under pot size at every flop I want to bet at and don’t want to leak info. Bets need to be potsize-ish to avoid giving good odds to drawing hands. Note here that you are willing to go to the showdown, and his straightdraw is a 1 in 7 shot to improve on 1 card, meaning he has correct implied odds to call you here with this betsize.

On turn, you bet 250 into 430 pot, again underbetting.

On river, his pattern of chk-call, chk-call, all-in screams overpair or set. Against good opponents this is easy fold. Early stages of low-buyin tho, he could have QJ or other crap, so call not bad. He would not call to river on the straightdraw

Net: not great play but not bad, and it worked out for you

you should almost never minraise here. you are offering the BB good odds to call no matter how trashy his hand is here since he can win the 45 blinds plus your 60 for only 30 even if no one else is in and if he has a suited connector he is getting good imnplied odds. i would call here if i were him with 72 in the hopes of busting you.

good read on the river. your opponent is obciously a bad player since he has to know you have a good enough hand to bet the flop and turn and the river is essentially a blank.

Min. raise is bad. Make it 90 or 100. Just make it consistant. Now out of position, I make a pot sized bet. You had someone trailing you so your bet was a touch light.

You have position on the lone player on the turn, so I like the turn bet. People at these and higher buy ins play middle pocket pairs all the time checking calling and praying that you have AK or AQ.

The river smells fishy. If he was so strong he probably ck raises the turn. This is read dependant of course. At at 10 dollar table, my chips beat his into the pot. I really don't think the river overbet screams anything but the attempt to buy. A turn CKR by a tough player puts me through a tougher decision and on a board of this texture I might actually fold.

Good read.

That is all,
R-
