Re: Not you ace!
just making it clear that assuming someone has an ace(as you did) is weak tight and i don't want the original poster to ge tinto these habits.
My line is to usually raise here, I'd like to see a SD with KK and we do have 2outs(Unlikly). We have many outs to beat top pair(Q2o for example). Will get rid of UTG and see if SB likes his hand. Turn action is impossible to say as its dependent on what happend after i raised the flop. |

Re: Not you ace!
I raise this all the time unless I know for sure that SB is an ultra-rock (in that case I fold). If I get it heads up, I call down. If anyone calls two cold or heaven forbid three bets, no more of my chips are visiting the pot, barring a K on the turn.

Who says SB doesnt hold Q2o ? [/ QUOTE ] Well, if he does, we're still behind, drawing to five outs on the turn and eight on the river. |

Re: Not you ace!
eeewww. This is an easy flop fold. I dont agree with the "find out where you are" raise. You're beat more times than not. I dont see how this play can be EV. If someone. Does anyone care to explain why you would use this in a micro game?

Re: Not you ace!
[ QUOTE ]
Any reads? Without reads, I'll try to be brave and propose this: Raise on the flop see what happens. If 3 bet, you smack the computer screen and call, fold turn UI If just called, you're probably going to be checked to, take the free card. You are slightly more likely to be behind and you're not too worried about the free card because you have 2nd best pair (not worried about overcards because the A is out) - altho you could be giving mr. flush draw a free river. If donked (bet into again), fold. At the river, you could make a sanity call if bet into but consider betting if checked to you again. anyone like this line? [/ QUOTE ] No...I dont If you get three-bet why are you calling on the flop? seems like a lot of people are just too conplacent with calling down 2nd best pair. If this was HU then its OK to call down. In this situation it's making a crying call that will cost you in the long run. |
