Default Do I have too much gambool in me?

Last night at Caesars Indiana, $1 $2 NLHE $300 Max

I have $250 behind, foe has about $300.

Foe has been making larger than normal pre flop rasies ($20 and $30), showing down hands like KK, QQ, and JJ.

Foe is on the button and makes it $10 pre flop, gets 1 caller and the Hero.

Hero has Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and hasn't played may hands so far.

Flop is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero checks, Foe bets $20 into a $30 pot. Hero check rasies $100, feeling that Foe could have a wide range of over cards. Foe pushes all in.

What should Hero do?

Hero calls. You are a favourite against AA and have quite many outs against any holding. It is also already some money in the pot.

Call. Villan probobly has a big pair.

also, you could think about bet/3-betting all-in.

Yeah your hand is very strong. Easy call with the dead money.

Well, even if he had the Ace of spades, you got all your money in with the best of it. nh

I'd personally lead out on this flop and push if he reraises me. That way I am the one to make the last bet and have some folding equity. And if he just smooth calls I have better control over the pot.

I'll echo the sentiment that you generally want to be the one pushing here...while you are a favorite..you are a tiny one....you want some fold equity. Obviously there isn't any when you are calling. The best path is to probably lead a near pot sized bet, when he raises, threebet all in. If he just calls your flop bet, I probably checkraise the turn all in.
