1 - Recalculating is probably only useful when upgrading to a new (to correct some data in the database). There are some other situations where it might be useful (corrupt database, etc).

2 - Yes, it goes back and forth to get all of your hands. You can enter any hand number from your session to start with.

FYI - Everybody on the Pokerroom Pokah! forum named Mac Poker now knows about Mac Poker Pro - I hope they all buy a copy so we can fight back the wintel pt/gt+ hordes.
