Re: Neteller Switched to a Canadian Bank?
I don't really get what he is saying, I think he's a bit confused.
He seems to be claiming the the bank issueing the check is charging a currency conversion. If the check is in USD and you are in the US, and depositing to a USD account, where is the conversion? It is possible (I guess) that the bank cashing the check might charge a fee for cashing an check from an international bank, thought that would be a bit lame. I have a different beef with them. I'm in canada, and wanted to deposit to my USD account (at a canadian bank), because I want to keep the money in USD, and don't want to get reamed on the double currency conversion. Apparently, this is not allowed - canadian residents can only take receive EFT's from neteller in CAD. They told me it was a "security issue". Right. |
