Default Re: Very taboo. What do I do?

[ QUOTE ]
In some cardrooms, exposing one card entitles the players at the table to see both. As I understand it, its an anti-taunting rule.

Some cardrooms have an anti-taunting rule? Sheesh, are we playing poker or having a tea party. As long as it doesn't get out of hand, isn't a little trash talking in the longstanding position of poker.

On the rule in general:

The only thing I've ever seen that was definitive and non-appealable is the Poker SNG machines that they have in Hard Rock Ft Lauderdale (SnG's with 10 live players, but an automated dealer). When you win a hand uncontested, the machine specifically asks whether you want to show ONE or BOTH cards.

I'm not claiming that this is THE rule, after all it's just a frickin machine, but it is THE rule in this limited circumstance.
