Default Sundays $350,000 Guaranteed on Pokerstars

Pokerstars Sundays $350,000 guaranteed prize pool. Finally got a nice little payday, final table ninth place. I am on the short stack with 200,000, closest stack is 400,000. I get AQ o in early position and go all in. Blinds at 30,000 and 60,000. Last guy to act with 600,000 calls and shows Q 10 o. SWEET Im thinking. Get no help and river pops a ten. Im out 9th place. My question is, I made the right move didnt I. At that point it was costing 108,000 to see the button each round giving me around 15 hands to do it before I tap. Maybe I would have been better to check , fold this hand just because of the prize pool. Try to advance to a higher pay off.
On other note thanks to 2+2ers for all your replys and posts. Its a good feeling to make a final table that actually pays something. I played a sat. for $13+1 to get my entry and took ninth place for $5,375. Could not have been done with out the help of this forum. Thanks .

Congratulations, excellent job!

I think you played it perfectly, just suffered a bad beat that's all. You would probably do well to post it in the mtt forum, but I think you did well.

Nothing wrong with that push, not very likely that you'd get a better hand in the next 15 hands... A short stack gotta do what a short stack gotta do.

Congrats, nice finish. I went out 17th and was still interested so I was watching when you went out. The blinds were definitely 20K/40K though, that being the top level.

Your play was perfect. It makes no sense to bet 3X the BB = 120K with AQ when you have 200K in chips. I would only make that bet with a real big pair, AA or KK and maybe QQ that I wanted action with.

I thought his call was silly. If your hand holds up, he doubles you to 400K and brings his stack down to 400K. Why would any one in their right mind want to do this. But you got unlucky on the River. If it's any consolation, I felt your pain.

Great result, and the push was the right thing to do. Well done.

Must have been mistaken on the blinds. We were at the same table for a while, I remember playing with you. You were on a run there for a while. It seems that late in the tourney its kind of a crap shoot. I dont know how I survived as long as I did. I went on a cold run from about 50th place to 18th. I almost folded the A Q o just cause I figured that some one would get into it and move me up another spot. Next hand put me on the big blind and with my short stack I figured it was the right move. I would have never called that much with a Q 10 o in his position. Maybe he felt pressured because of the blinds, but still. If I was him I would have folded AK in his spot. Avoiding close calls is the way to go that late in a tourney. Thanks for the support T and congrats on the 17th place. Not a bad pay day. Glad to see other 2+2ers making the money.

Dec. 26th I noticed they have a $500,000 Guaranteed. Hope to see you there. Look me up sometime, I bounce around from 3-6 NL down to .50-1 NL. Thanks for the support.
