Re: High Limit Poker Rooms in Vegas
[ QUOTE ]
By David's own admission, he is just learning stud games and Omaha 8. [/ QUOTE ] I don't really understand this statement given that he coauthored Seven Card Stud for Advanced Players fifteen years ago. |

Re: High Limit Poker Rooms in Vegas
Point of $2-4:
1) Anyone can play, little risk. Very inviting for the beginner. 2) Same rake as $6-12, 10-20, 20-40, etc. These places are looking to get the player who would be looking for $5 blackjack & quarter slots to give the game a try. I certainly don't have a problem with them--brings more people to the game. Real easy in Vegas to go to another casino if they're not running the games large enough for you. I don't play at Imperial, Flamingo, Luxor when I'm out there because I agree that $2-4 is a waste of time. But I'm glad it's out there to bring in players. |

Bellagio has a seperate room and MGM has a room upstairs which is also separate. Those are the only ones that I know of

Re: High Limit Poker Rooms in Vegas
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Again, I was new to Vegas so didn't really know what to expect...just thought there would be greater availability of games higher than 4/8. My expectations were WAY off. [/ QUOTE ] Unless my inturpretation is off, it sounds like a few people on here are disappointed in the number of high limit games offered in Vegas, yet they don't even play these games. I don't belive anyone has had a problem finding one of these games anytime they want, and they're all stated above. Quitcherbitchin' and head to the cage. Good luck and I'll see you at the tables. [/ QUOTE ] I don't play very high but I've had some trouble finding games in Vegas late at night. There have been a couple nights the last month where I'm not sure there was been a single 8-16 game going. |
