Default modern 80s pop music

franz ferdinand, hot hot heat, the killers, all of those horrible new bands. whats the appeal? why not listen to something thats actually good like i dont know say...rascall flats or matisyahu.

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME???

Is it the 80s? Or modern? Or are you distinguishing the 1980s from the 1880s? I don't get it.
