Default Caesar\'s IN New Pker room should be open Monday

they are suposed to open the New section and then redo the current room to match the new.

Poker is good in Southern Indiana.

It is odd that you bring that up. I discussed this the other night with a couple of players at a 6-12 table. This came from another player at our table so please take it with a grain of salt...

Apparently they spread it for about a week, and some of the regular 2-5 players got upset that the players gravitated toward the lower limit/buyin. The floor won't even put up an interst list.

The $2 $5 unlimited buy-in is crazy for most players. There are some dudes there that start off with $2K or $3k and more. Just seems like they could better fill the room with more lower limit NL games. I know I would be a regular. The limit games at Caesars remind me of playing slots.

They can be very juicy if you have the patience, but frustrate the heck out of me. I just don’t want to wait around while 7 players try to crack my big pair.

ugg.

If they would start passing out free drinks, it would be like... Well, it would be so good I can't come up with a comparison.

I was playing $6-12 last night and about three or four of the $5-10 regulars were in the game and they started talking about how they missed the $5-10 and how they didn't like $6-12. the dealer jumped in and agreed saying $5-10 was much easier for the dealers and the regulars all agreed it was much easier to play. One of them said that He thought the $5-10 was looser but the dealer disagreed saying the $6-12 was much looser than $5-10.

I believe the real reason the miss the $5-10 is when the game is tight, your decisions are much easier. You bet and everyone folds or they bet and you fold unless you have a good hand or really good draw. Also the swings are not as big but I had stopped playing $5-10 at caesar's IN it just wasn't worth playing.

The $6-12 is currently a little slice of poker heaven. I don't know how long it will last but man is it ever a good time.

Wait, what am I saying? No the $6-12 sucks, stay away from the $6-12. Yeah, yeah $4-8 or $10-20, that is where sup bros need to play. $6-12 is terrible, really really really bad. If any other sup bro plays $6-12 all their babies will be born naked.

I hope they DON'T spread a $100 max NL game. In the past, I've played in an uncapped 1-2NL game there (in the "old" poker room that had ~12 tables) and a 1-2NL game capped at $200 (in the "new" poker room). Both of those games were OK, but I much prefer the 2-5NL. I agree that the 2-5NL game is typically played with some very deep stacks (which I personally don't mind), but I still think it's better than a 1-2NL with a small cap (such as $100).

The time charge at Caesar's is $6 per half hour. Add in several $1 tips per hour, and you're easily losing (to the time charge and tokes) $15/hour, which is 15% of your buy-in EVERY HOUR. All the money gets raked right off the table. That sucks, in my opinion. Please at least think about this before lobbying for a game capped at $100 where something close to 15% of the money is taken off the table every hour. I enjoy the uncapped buy-in games, and I believe many others feel the same way. If you insist on a capped buy-in game, what about $200 or $300, where a lesser percentage of the money gets raked off the table?

Anyone else play in the big $2,600 NLHE tournament a few weeks ago? Anyone played in the new weekly tournaments?

I agree about the time rake. its insane. It really should be per hand, like max $3 or $4 per hand. The only reason I bring up the $100 or $500 max buy in is that I have played in a lot of them at other casinos (Senaca Niagaga, MGM, etc.) and have wiped up due to the fact that they draw the Donkey $2 $4 and the $4 $8 players. And IMO there is a lot less luck involved in small stakes NLHE.

Get a big stack early and watch your bank roll grow.
