4th Street Percentages/BB\'s per hour
All,
I'm in the process of compiling my online statistics and reviewing online hand histories for weaknesses in my game. I know there's no ideal number (as it depends heavily on table/limit), but for 7CS, what is: (1) A target 4th Street Seen % (2) reasonable # of BB's won per # of hands figure (people claim that online hands run nearly twice as fast as live games, so looking for a more independant figure) Anyone want to take a stab - thanks MAC |

Re: 4th Street Percentages/BB\'s per hour
I think your number for bb/# hands is reasonable. Playing 5% of hands to 4th is insane. Just bring ins at an 8 person table will average 12.5%. For a skilled stud player at a loose fairly passive 2-4 table online or 5-10 table in a casino, I think between 18% and 30% is right, depending how your cards are running and how much raising is going on.

Re: 4th Street Percentages/BB\'s per hour
I was going to make a similar comment about the 5% figure. In a typical loose low-limit stud game, I limp in with something like 20-25% of my hands, which is probably pretty similar to how a lot of my opponents play. Thing is, I get away from hands a lot faster than most of them.
I think that rather than have a target percentage, you should concentrate on evaluating each hand on its own merit. I think that it would be very dangerous to make your decision about whether to play a hand based on a desire to play a pre-determined percentage of hands dealt. |

Re: 4th Street Percentages/BB\'s per hour
My percentage is anywhere between 20-25% to fourth street as well.
The win percentage for my play also has to be in the range of 20% or higher or I'll adjust the fourth street percentage. |

Thanks, 7stud, you\'ve...
been providing some excellent analysis in your posts over the last month. I would agree with others that 5% seems way too low but thanks for the attempt

Thanks, Andy, I was...
using the 4th street number as more of a healthcheck. Seems as though average starting position for players on many of my tables is almost 40% - of course most of these players show a loss over the course of my hand history. I agree that the 20-25% is a much stronger number..
