It is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

A starting point would be 1.5x annual revenue but this may be generous depending on assets.Another starting figure would be 5-10x net profit. From a buyers perspective you dont pay any extra for potential.

Well then, I'm thinking of making an offer somewhere in the 15-50 million dallar range. So my original post was obviously correct.

And buyers do pay for potential all the time. They are called venture capitalists.

It's definitely higher than that, by a lot.

Impossible to estimate without a review of historic financial statements to determine trends in revenue, cash flow, etc. Other factors affeting value are trends in subscriber and advertiser growth, current and expected advertising rates, actual and contingent liabilites, existing contracts etc.

I think it's worth more than Voltron does. They get enough eyeballs that there are lots of untapped money making opportunities for them.

My guess would be between 15 - 50 million

I haven't read all of the responses but something to bear in mind is that the value of the company diminishes greatly if the buyer does not retain Malmouth/Sklansky etc.

I couldn't put a value on the company without seeing financial history but it is important to acknolwedge that alot of the value would be intangible and is the "in-house" authors that they have.
