Default Do you reraise this river?

No reads

Villains river raise looks really fishy- was he chasing a straight or not? I cant tell, but I decided that just calling was best. Comments?

I call, getting 3bet and having to call sucks.

It depends on what combinations of two pair are reasonable holdings for him. How loose is he? How aggressive?

Hi Kidd,

Yes I do 3-bet the river and call a cap.

Best Regards,

this is not a logical explanation for calling. you need to quantify how often you think we are getting capped, and how often we are not, and how often we are getting called by a worse hand.

I'm not picking on you specifically, I'm just seeing this reasoning used a TON around here (eg. "check, I hate getting check/raised here") and it's bugging me. try to craft your answers in terms of EV, I'll take a little discomfort for some $$$ any day.

3bet, BB could just as easily have Q5 or J5 as be chasing the straight, plus undersets are possible.

Well interms of EV, BB Raising the river says to me "Straight" so i assume im right and don't 3bet as its -EV.

So as i say, I just call and don't 3bet as we'll often either be: Re-raised and have to call?
Called and lose.

However, Sure he may have 2pair, I just think he has a straight.

Maybe i've got MUBS but lets see what OP shows.
