Default Nate Meyvis sept article

There is an article in the 2+2 magazine september issue. Has anybody read it? http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/i...eyvis0905.html

At about the 7th paragraph Meyvis says " I had purchased 5 extra outs in this huge pot." What outs is he talking about?

Two aces and three 9s will beat the player with 2 pair, but would have lost had the bigger ace remained in.

He means reverse gain actually not outs for himself - 2 aces and 3 kings - by getting the guy with AK to fold any of these 5 cards dont beat him.
