I am pretty sure you can hook up one additional monitor and that is all.

If you really want to run a dual monitor setup on a laptop that doesn't support multiple monitors out of the box (the vast majority), you're going to have to look for a PCMCIA video card.

This one looks great for those wanting to do 1600 x 1200 (and all sorts of other neat things) :

I might have referred to the wrong model of computer. It's the $399 Dell system they advertised a few months back.

This is the card I got on ebay for $8. Will it work?

S3 TRIO 64 BIT GRAPHICS PCI VIDEO CARD.
