Default NLO8B $1/$2 hand

Here is an O8B $1/$2 nolimit hand that my friend played. My friend "Chandler" is UTG+2. I disagree with his play.

9-player game. Average'ish players...but probably weakish considering the play that follows.
UTG folds.
UTG+1 calls. $2
Chandler calls $2. He has 4d Qc Qh Ah and ~$120 left
"Doug" raises to $4 (He has $180)
"Elmer" raises to $6. (He has $150)
Everyone folds back to the UTG+1 who then calls.
My friend Chandler here goes all in. Here is his reasoning. He "knows" that his opponents have A23x because of their min raises. He wants to go all in and basically end up headsup, or they both fold.

What do you think? I think a raise to $30-35 to go would have accomplished the same vs an all in bet. Even if they're calling stations, a raise to $40-45 would then be sufficient I think. He's risking his stack to win 50-65% of the final pot.

So "Doug" raises all in. "Elmer" calls. UTG+1 folds.

The board looks like: [4s 8c Kc ][6c] [5c]

Hands are revealed to be:
"Doug" has 3h 2h 4c Ad
"Elmer" has As 5s 3d 2s.

Even if you knew their exact cards, how would you have played it?

thanks!
