Re: 99 hand
That would be AK. I hadn't even considered the heart draw, I was honestly only thinking about the second player having a Q or not.

Re: 99 hand
I was definitely folding if he led the turn.
If I get C/R'ed, do I fold right there or call it and fold the river UI? I've been having problems folding to turn raises (I think it's that whole "protect your image" thing). |

You can afford to make loose calls on the flop, where you aren't losing a full BB. Not so on the turn. Rob |

Re: 99 hand
Yeah if you call a turn check/raise with a made hand, you are almost always calling on the river UI. In this hand, there is no way you can call a turn check/raise.
The reason that you can make loose calls on the flop is that it... A. Only costs you a small bet. B. Good for the image. C. If you do hit, you get 2 streets to collect big bets (instead of one when you call a turn c/r and hit). So you could invest 1 SB on the flop and *maybe* get 5-8 BB on the turn/river if you connect. Re: 99 hand
Yes, time to stop doing that then.
Plenty more hands to practice that while clearing the Party bonus. |
