Default 99 hand

Second or third hand at the table.
I have BB on overcards. Do I have a shot at folding UTG+1 with a turn bet?

You played it fine. Take the free river card.

Hero checks, folds river UI. Nice hand.

I really never professed to be good at this game. I stray from the "beat people over the head with a hammer" approach to the "I always think you're putting a move on me" method. It's rather annoying.

Doesn't help that PV hasn't been working for me at all tonight or that those nines were the best thing I've seen all night. Had them twice, but I think I got it right the second time.

I don't know what you are saying here, but I think that you need to bet this turn. You can't give a free card to AK. If you get check/raised then you have an easy fold. The caller on the flop might be on a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] draw, so be alert if he comes alive on the river should one fall.

Missed that 'overcard' read up top, but I think hero is beat here.

What kind of overcards would a Party .5/1 opponent 3-bet the flop with?

Yeah if he 3-bet and then bet the turn I would fold. But after he checks the turn, you can't afford to let him see a river for free IMO. If he is trying to be tricky and check/raises you then you can give it up.

I think betting the turn and folding to a checkraise is better than checking the turn and calling a river bet.
