Default Party PLO8 $400 hand

Villain is aggressive, a little loose but good, definitely capable of making a play.

Seat 5: Villain ( $237 )
Seat 10: Idiot ( $364.13 )

** Dealing down cards **

** Dealing Flop ** [ 8c, 9d, 6s ]

that is tough. probably not since so many hands beat you now. I think 96/98/9J are all very possible as is 9TQ.

and i don't like your line here either.

Really? I think if this guy is going to raise PF with these sidecards (to go with A2 or something, presumably), he would not have let the flop go by. I'd expect him to test his set/two pair or whatever against the chance someone has a straight.

yeah it's pretty bad. but I think flop chk-raise try is reasonable. And can't check the turn... the river is the weakest part of the hand, as I frequently make the mistake of doing, the $50 lead just gives my opponent a chance to bluff me off the low str, or move in with a nice hand and have a good chance of getting a call since it *looks* like a bluff

I think the check-raising attempt on the flop was a mistake in a 3-handed game. Not anything else but I wanted to induce a bluff to get most/all of villain's money in on the flop by making a steal-look-alike pot bet. But this depends on how you know about your villain and how your villain knows about you. But from my experience of SH plays, when I pot this kind of flop I will usually get raised.

Good points, I guess I just favor a check-raise b/c the board looks inviting to an A2 in late position that can pot it and hope to pick it up there... of course, when it checks around like here, you feel like a dumbass

I definetly pot the flop 3 handed. Its safe to assume one of the other players hold a2 so you're most likely going to 1/4 one of them. Also, I certainly don't want a low flush draw getting in there for free.
