Default JJ flops set

I'm new to no-limit, so I'm just looking for feedback on how I played this hand. Villian has only 20 hands in and has yet to play a hand, so no read other than tight.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) converter

CO ($24.75)
Button ($4.65)
SB ($25.4)
BB ($28.9)
UTG ($24.4)
Hero ($28.75)
MP1 ($37.15)
MP2 ($9.15)
MP3 ($23.3)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.25</font>, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, SB (poster) calls $1.15, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($2.75) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $4</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $6</font>, SB calls $2.

Turn: ($14.75) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $5</font>, SB calls $5.

River: ($24.75) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $10</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $34.75

You have to raise more on the flop. I'd make it at least $12 on the flop. On the turn you have to bet more. You are giving him odds to draw at a club.

I don't understand your 3 bet on the flop and I don't understand your turn bet.

Re-raise to like $12 preflop. Min-raising doesn't accomplish anything. If he has a club he has the odds to call the min-raise. If he flopped a flush you're losing money however you play it but you should still get the money in on the flop.

If you were to re-raise to $12, if he calls you can just shove that turn then. If he re-raises you then you get all-in on the flop.

$12 into a $3 pot? Really?

Can you expand on the thinking behind this? Like I said, I'm new to NL...I've played lots of Limit, but this is my first (actually second) day at NL.

It's not a $3 pot anymore. You bet $2, he raises to $4. So now it's $3 (pot) + $4 (his bet) + $4 (your call), meaning an $11 pot after you would call. So to raise the pot you would actually make it a total of $15.

Its no longer a $3 pot. Your $2 plus Villains 4+3 in pot for 9 bucks. He only has to call the difference from your bet and his. raising to 12 he has to call for 8 more, taking away his club odds

so it seems like everybody here is advocating playing this like you have the nuts.

I don't see the value of 3betting to $12 on the flop.

you are pot committing yourself and will fold out most hands that you beat.

I like calling the $4 and betting pot if checked to on the turn. I just don't think villain check raises 2 streets with the made flush.

Probably because he does on the flop. Definitely 3-bet the flop. For real. None of this min-raise crap.

Edit: I'm retarded. Do you see why?
