Action Poker Gaming Inc- Unauthorized Debit of my Neteller Account

Action Poker Gaming Inc attempted to debit my account for $50 12 hours ago. It was, thankfully, declined. I just opened my Neteller account and have only had two transactions, both of which were credits from Empire and Party. What the heck is going on? I'm on the phone with Neteller security right now.

This happen to anyone else?

The security person i talked with (who appeared to have no idea what she was talking about) said they have to close my account. This is ridiculous.

If someone has your account info and secure ID, it might be best to close it down and get a new one.

Neteller is contacting Action Poker to see what happened and they will get back to me. I'm assuming they did not have my secure ID because the transaction was declined. I just opened my account a week ago and have hardly done anything with it. I don't understand how this happened.

Could be that someone made a typo.
I samll error in their account number could lead to yours.
The secureid would not match. That is why it was rejected.

Make any sense?

A guy just called me from Neteller security. He was a lot more knowledgable than the first woman I talked to. He reactivated my account and generated a new Secure ID and told me to change my password. He did not seem too concerned. He told me to make sure no one has access to my computer or email account (duh).

I thought the same thing as you, Blitz, but the man said that they cannot contact the merchant about the transaction because the merchant will have no record of it as it was declined. So there is no way of telling whether it was a mistype or not.

On the other hand, I doubt a simple mistype could lead to my account. Account numbers are 12 digits long. I really doubt any one account number is within 2 digits of another.

You don't have a son or wife or someone else with access to your computer? That seems most likely to me.

Yeah could be. None of them play poker and none of them would steal account details or know where to find them.
