Re: When to get the money in?
I consider this a situation where i have the "pseudo-nuts".
A raise most certainly folds out the likes of KK/QQ/JJ. A raise most likely does not fold out Ax here. My question is, what is the easiest way for him to get away from Ax? Conversely, what is the best way for me to make him think I have an inferior ace or perhaps none at all, so that he pays me off in the situation where his hand is indeed Ax? |

Re: When to get the money in?
The chances that he has the nut flush draw are zero, because I hold the A of hearts. The chances that he holds a lower flush draw are minimal also, given his PF raising standards. There is no straight draw that concerns me here.

[/ QUOTE ] Put yourself in his shoes. What would it take for you to fold an ace? For me, a 4-straight or 4-flush would do it. Maybe if a broadway hits and they push, though I probably still call that 90% of the time. I think it takes a remarkable villain to fold an ace here (and frankly, if he does, there are probably fishier tables to move to). So either he wants to play or he doesn't. No reason to get fancy, just keep betting enough to make sure you get it all-in on the river (if not before). |
