Ok, I didn't think about the stack sizes, and I'm rarely, if ever on the tight side of a hand disagreement, usually im a "push, call, rasie" etc side.

Im just used to the heads up sit and gos on stars... deep stacks mmmm.

Listen I didn't even see the hand so don't go totally by what Im saying. I just know that ZJ has played many s+gs and has a pretty decent idea as to how to play when its headsup. Im sure he would have no trouble adjusting to the differences in this spot.

IMHO it was incredibly stupid not to discuss the deal. forget the macho bs, and focus on getting the most money which is all what poker is about.

Was it even possible to make a deal?

My strategy is to pretend I really want to make a deal, just to keep everyone on edge and tight...hoping the deal will happen "in a few hands". I figure it should negatively affect the play of many at the table. And of course if the deal is especially good for me I'd consider taking it.

no, the deal thing isnt implemented yet, it's being beta tested in some tournaments.. not this one.
So that guy harping about a deal, no point in it all.

He had the greatest edge by playing it out, he was many times the player the others were. The reason for a deal would be to minimize the variance, which with his bankroll... im guessing he can live through.

Lol, so everyone who is acting as though he shOUld have considered a deal is basically a moron then, as you can't accept a deal when there is no option to do so, unless you want to trust someone to send you 20k.

Why continue to harp on this nonsense when it's totally irrelevant?
