Advice on Laptop for Poker?
I need a laptop to play poker on for a short period of time, and after that I have no need for the laptop no more. Can someone be so kind and borrow me their laptop for a couple of weeks?
Ok, ok. I'm looking at buying a used laptop but don't want to spend much money on it. What would you say are the minimum requirements regarding screen size (1-2 tables, some overlap is ok), cpu mhz and memory? |

Re: Advice on Laptop for Poker?
i wouldn't want less than p3 1ghz/256mb/20gb. 1024x768 will have a decent amount of overlap, higher resolution is better.
transmeta cpus are slow, as are seemingly faster p4s/p4-based celerons (1.4ghz on up). |

Re: Advice on Laptop for Poker?
I'm using a P3 866Mhz 116MB RAM, 15" screen size, you can run multiple tables, Outlook, IE, Pokertracker and Kazaa (lite) with absolutely no problems (but I would recommend more RAM, CPU speed is fine).
