Re: Live MTT QQ hand...
I can't imagine him doing this without a boat. I bet he has a weak T. I fold. (Turns out you made a crying call and he has a weak Ace and is semibluffing with top kicker right?)

Re: Live MTT QQ hand...
I'm nowhere near the calibre of player as you but isn't this an instant call? If he does indeed have a boat you are getting off very cheaply. Pot is laying you ~5 to 1 on the call and if you lose you are not crippled.
also couldnt his river bet also be viewed as a blocking bet? where as he has a hand like 99, or A7, and he thinks his hand is good and he wants a somewhat cheap showdown? |

Re: Live MTT QQ hand...
with those pot odds i call, i think ur 2nd only to the trip 10s. he could have just an ace, i wud call with these odds defo. another thing is if ur villian has shown that he understands pot odds then he is giving u odds to call if he has a ten. |

Re: Live MTT QQ hand...
Call, otherwise I don't see why you bet the turn as that last card changes very little.

Re: Live MTT QQ hand...
Well, Hero calls.
Very tough spot to think about raising or folding here. Based on how this hand was played, what can villian have? |

Re: Live MTT QQ hand...
87, A3, A7, A10, J10, 44-99. That's what I am putting him on.

Re: Live MTT QQ hand...
I may have bet a little more on the flop. 400 or 450 maybe.
Given his line, I can't put him on a T. Seems like most players are going to either test you on the flop, or certainly the turn, with a T in their hand. I don't think most people are capable of not firing hard on the turn with a T, although against a tight player, that check/call if he did have a T is pretty nice. On the river I think I'd have to call. I don't see value in a raise, but there are plenty of hands that you beat here - busted straight draws like 98, hands like A7, smaller pocket pairs, etc. I'll put my money though on something like A3s, for the smaller boat. Just based on the fact you posted the hand. |
