Default How bad is putting POKER on your resume?

Under the Special Interests section:
- "Expert Poker Strategy"

I'm such a loser. I need more stuff to put on my resume.

If employers only knew how much $$$$ can be derived by using "Expert Poker Strategy", they might possibly view it as a skill

I mean poker does involve analysis, math, optimal decision-making, and money management.

What ya guys think? (Scuba?) I DEFINITELY need an internship this summer..lol

Extremely lame. People who don't play think it's all luck. You're better off without it.

Actually, a lot of investment bank/trader type jobs look at poker skill as a plus. My buddy works at Lehman and they actually do a poker training for new recruits. The right employer would see it as a plus, and the wrong one as a negative. Know who you are interviewing with first...type of job etc...

[censored] BAD.

Don't put it on. It's been said, but no one understands poker like you'd hope they would. And if they did it's still questionable at best. DO NOT PUT IT ON YOUR RESUME.

LOL. I was expecting these responses. I will definitely not put in on my resume.

Pooh,
Very interesting. What is the purpose of the training? I'm gonna have to check this firm out.

For a trading job on the Street, it is great to mention it. Some firms, such as Susquehenna, have poker training for their traders.
