The flop action looks pretty good. I might sometimes push right there; I don't see a lot of people folding 88-JJ or the flush draw there, which I think are probably his most likely holdings. I think the A is relatively unlikely to have hit him, so betting out there seems a bit too likely to scare him away. Check expecting him to bet, and then push all-in - I think he'll be well enough committed that he'll call with many worse hands. If he checks behind, lead for about 300 into any non-diamond river, or check-call if a diamond comes.

EDIT: Diamonds potentially killing your action even if he's not on the flush draw are probably another pretty good reason to push on the flop.

Nice flop lead.

UTG has lots of chips, lead 250ish and let him try to push you off again, either that or c/r all in, but I like leading again in case he raised the flop to buy a free river.

Diamonds or a middle pair might check behind here due to the ace and a set you're stacking anyway. Bet, probably enough to keep him in like 300.

Hero bets T450.

Villain should have ~10 outs if he has any hand that will call any bet after raising 225. Villain gets implied odds of 3.1:1 to call the turn and needs ~11 outs.

I like the lead, but I think villain has shown enough strength that I would 3 bet the flop.

Any specific reasons why you didn't? I think I hate to see a scare card turn, and slow down the action.

Exactly what I was thinking.. too many scare cards to kill the action. I 3-bet the flop.

i thought that there were pretty few hands that would call my 3bet. the nut flush draw probably does, and 65 does. a whiffed limpRR from KK/AA.

that's not that many hands. i didn't want to let 67/88/A6 off the hook, and there's always a chance that BB will decide to push his two pair now, which would be pretty awesome. i'm not concvinced it was right, but those were some of my reasons.

do people like the pre-flop?
