Good Check-Raise??
I've recently diagnosed, as a leak in my game, that I don't check-raise enough. So, in my recent sessions I've actively been trying to find places to check-raise. Last night I played this hand, and I'm wondering if the check-raise here was a good play?
PokerStars .05/.10 Hero is dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG Hero limps, EP2 limps, MP1 limps, CO limps, Button limps, SB completes, BB checks Flop (7sb): A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, EP2 checks, MP1 bets, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls, BB folds, Hero raises, EP2 calls, MP1 calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls Turn (9.5bb): K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB checks, Hero bets, EP2 calls, MP1 calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls River (15.5bb): 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB checks, Hero bets, EP2 calls, MP1 calls, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls Results later (they are pretty interesting) |

Re: Good Check-Raise??
If your intent was to build a pot, I don't think you could have asked for better on the flop. It may have been better to wait until the turn, you could have taken more BBs from each player that way. I've seen people checkraise twice before on the same hand, usually flop and river. Has anyone else seen this happen before?

Re: Good Check-Raise??
Results: EP showed J2o, CO showed, AJo and SB showed J9o.
We split it four ways. My next question, how can 4 people have the nuts on the turn none of them raise?? Talk about passive! |

Re: Good Check-Raise??
They all must have been scared by the last [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], but you'd still think someone would have done it.
Great forum BTW. |
