Some people are online players because they live in a [censored] poker state like Florida where the only poker is 1/2.

Shirley,

Answer this question:

Is the average person playing online at $10-$20 better or worse than the average person playing live $10-$20?

Hint: the answer is the person online is better. And it's not close.

Without a doubt. I think it is most visible at lower limits.

2/4 and 3/6 games in B&M feature players who can't usually spell poker. Online, you're obviously not finding world class at those levels, but you better have an idea about what you are doing. Folks are making (at least) decent part time wages at those levels these days.

Default Why I play online

Well, I just turned 21 (so just able to play in vegas etc. now), I love washington state, NO WAY WILL I MOVE TO VEGAS, WAY TOO HOT!!!, Don't want to move away from my family, and the highest stakes they play at the local casino is 10/20 limit, I play that drunk sometimes, but just to low for me to care about.

SO that's why I play online, cause I make $210 a hour (with rakeback etc.), instead of the $20 or $30 a hour I could grind out playing live at the local casino.

Not nearly enough to make up for the time lost at the table waiting for grandpa to make a decision on a $2 river bet with a busted flush draw.

Not to mention the idiot college kid who seemingly forgets his hole cards 20 times during a hand and has watched 1000 hours of WPT/WSOP broadcasts and Hollywoods trivially easy decisions.
