Copag also makes plastic cards. I bought some about a month ago and they've held up through a lot of abuse. You can get them on Ebay. I strongly reccomend them. (not affiliated yadayada)

has any body heard a definite answer if USPC will continue the KEM brand, or something exactly similar to them?

When I tried to return some kems that a bastard marked, I was told that they would be back up and running in Q1 2005.

In response to the original post, stay away from the "Royal" brand of plastic cards, just buy packs of paper cards instead.

really. hmmm. when i contacted kem a couple of weeks ago the rep said they were liquidating their stock because they were bought by USPC. do you guys think it would be a good move to buy a ton of their bridge sized stock thats left, regardless of their backs? (we have to buy in a large quantity minimum) I know some of their designs really really really bother me, but what is your guys' opinion?

My opinion is that you try copag. I highly doubt you will be disappointed. In addition to being nicer cards (my opinion of course) Copags are more durable than KEM. They wont crack when bent or slammed, whereas KEM's will.

That's unfortunate but certainly newer information than I have. I've heard good things about both copag and A+

I ordered these a few weeks ago. They arrived in time for my home game yesterday and my players loved them

Not as good as KEMs but they are, as the site says, "an excellent alternative to Arrow Wide Size Cards"
